What We Are Funding

In the fall of 2021, the ANB Foundation began funding an annual scholarship program with a NYC independent school. The school’s program supports students who are dedicated to fueling their curiosity and sense of wonder through self-designed experiential learning opportunities.

All students in grades 10-12 can apply for funds to venture outside the classroom to explore and reflect upon questions they have on a particular topic in the humanities, inspired by classes or other avenues in their lives. This real-world learning often takes the form of travel, museum visits, interviews, seminars, and performances. In the spring, families and community members gather to learn about their experiences and discuss the new questions that have emerged for them.
