Margaret Szegvari
Executive Director
Seen as a change agent in Massachusetts schooling, Margaret was one of 16 women and people of color awarded a fellowship from the U.S. government to attend Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education Leadership Academy and earn her C.A.S. in School Leadership. Before this time, Margaret had graduated from Hamilton College with a B.A. in History and from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education with an Ed.M in Counseling Processes. As an equity-based educator, Margaret is deeply committed to creating and leading innovative, educational programs that provide all students the highest quality of learning.

Karyn Nair Bhak
Co-President
As Co-President of The Alex Nair Bhak Foundation, Karyn aims to support experiences for young adults that foster compassion, indulge their curiosity, and enhance their well-being and intellect, echoing Alex's life and legacy. Before establishing the Foundation in her son’s memory, she was a full-time mother of two children, a board member for the National Emphysema Foundation, and worked in Washington D.C. doing health policy research. Karyn has a B.A. from Clark University and a Masters in Public Health from Yale University.

Andrew Bhak
Co-President
As Co-President of the Alex Nair Bhak Foundation, Andrew is committed to creating opportunities for young adults that nurture compassion, inspire curiosity, and promote their personal and intellectual growth, in loving memory of his son, Alex. Alongside his role with the foundation, Andrew is an executive in the finance industry and remains engaged with Yale University, where he serves on advisory boards for Dean of the School of Public Health and the Yale Healthcare Conference, as well as a visiting scholar at the School of Management. He holds a BGS degree from Kent State University and attended Yale University for his master’s degree in public health.

Harrison Rubin
Treasurer
Harrison is currently an MBA candidate at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to his MBA, he spent five years consulting for companies in the healthcare industry, helping to address complex challenges and drive meaningful change. He holds a B.A. from Tufts University.
Harrison first met Alex at the beginning of their freshman year at Tufts University. They quickly became close friends through shared classes, extracurricular activities, and a mutual love of sci-fi movies.

Sune Tchelistcheff
Board Member
Sune is currently an assistant architect for a firm based in New York City. He has experience working for several companies in the sports world, where he was a scout and conducted market research. He has a B.S. from New York University.
Sune and Alex met in 3rd grade at the Bank Street School for Children and quickly became best friends. The two were inseparable in their youth and spent many hours together playing tennis, reading manga, and watching movies.
